Beef Bulgogi



delicious Korean restaurant fav made at home even healthier!!

Super tender and juicy! Pair with your favorite rice for a perfect lunch or dinner.

RECIPE:

  • 12 oz raw flat iron steak

Marinade:

  • 1/4 of a Asian Pear or Fuji Apple- diced

  • ¼ cup low sodium Soy Sauce

  • 4 cloves minced garlic

  • 1 tablespoon Gochuchang sauce

  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon sweet Japanese wine (I used Mirin)

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  • 3 scallions - chopped

  • Top with sesame seeds


  • Thinly slice steak across the grain; transfer sliced steak to a large zip top bag or small bowl.

  • To the zip top bag or bowl add marinade ingredients; seal the bag and squish everything around to completely coat the meat with the marinade.

  • Let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes, OR put in the fridge for up to 30 minutes.

  • When ready to cook, spray a pan with nonstick cooking spray over medium-high heat.

  • Add steak and marinade to pan and cook until caramelized and steak is cooked through.

  • Garnish with sesame seeds.

  • Serve with your favorite rice or on a lettuce wrap.
