Meatball Bake

A crowd pleaser!! Flavorful & hearty low carb dish that's incredibly easy to make!!

RECIPE:

1 lb ground mild Italian sausage- turkey or chicken

1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

3 tbsp breadcrumbs

24 oz your favorite pasta or marinara sauce

1 cup light shredded mozzarella cheese


Preheat oven to 400 F.

In a large bowl, combine Italian sausage, Parmesan cheese, and breadcrumbs. Roll into 1 1/2” balls and place into a large non-stick skillet.

Cook meatballs on medium heat for approximately 8 minutes until meatballs are browned on all sides (they will not be fully cooked).

Transfer meatballs to an 8” x 8” baking dish. Top with sauce and cheese.

Bake, covered with foil, for 15 minutes. Remove foil and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly browned.

Using a meat thermometer, ensure inside of meatballs has reached at least 160 F. If not, return to oven.
